Our special events are not just the means of raising money, but also a way to promote the message and goals of Youth Options Shasta. They allow us to connect with our community in a positive and fun way. We are able to build awareness and support for our mission to promote a safe and healthy community by providing positive options for youth. Come join us for the 11th Annual Shasta Mud Run at Historic Hawes Farms!

The 11th Annual Shasta Mud Run is thr BIGGEST and BADDEST 5k event yet!

We have (20) new and improved obstacles for all athletic abilities, amazing local vendors, and much more. Can’t get enough? Register for (10K) and run the course twice in 2024! Don’t forget about our FREE Mini Muddies section for the kids.

Not interested in participating in the muddy madness? No problem! This family event is for everyone. Come cheer on your friends, grab some tasty food and drinks at the concession stands, or walk around the vendor section. Our new venue at Historic Hawes Farms offers plenty of room for relaxing and outdoor fun ( bring your Frisbees or volleyballs!)

All Proceeds for this event benefit the programs of Youth Options Shasta. Youth Options Shasta is a 501c3 nonprofit that manages several essential programs serving youth in Shasta County including, Youth Peer Court, Mentoring, Youth Fire Prevention and Intervention, Youth Action Council (YAC) and Shasta Youth Leadership Camp (SYLC).
