We have been waiting on the edges of our seats to hear if we were going to be able to have our very muddy fundraiser in 2021! It was such a bummer when we had to cancel 2020 and we were looking forward to raising money for our youth and having the community together for a fantastic and fun event!
We discovered that having our usual Mud Run with vendors, warm ups, crowds, shared spaces, etc. is unfortunately not going to be an option. Our team immediately went into brainstorming mode to come up with an alternative event that would raise the funds needed for our programs, while also living up to the expectations of our participants from past runs.
We have realized that without the appropriate amount of time to plan and implement, we would just be trying to “re-invent the wheel” and the result would be a sub-par event.
WE CAN’T DO THAT TO YOU!
It was then that we realized the best thing we can do is postpone 2021 and spend our time and energy gearing up for our new location at Historic Hawes Farms!!
EXCITED ABOUT OUR NEW LOCATION!
We will have bigger, better and more obstacles. There will be more space for vendors, music and activities.
Parking will also be smoother and we’ll have support from the fantastic people at Hawes!
STAY TUNED FOR DATE ANNOUNCEMENT AND REGISTRATION DETAILS!
WE ARE SO SORRY TO DISAPPOINT OUR RUNNERS, SUPPORTERS, VENDORS AND SPONSORS!
This decision was made with heavy hearts. In order for it to be the Shasta Mud Run, it had to be done right, with lots of people and lots of MUD! And that’s exactly what we will have next year!
If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer at next year’s event, we would love to have you! Please email us to get more info!

Youth Options Shasta offers a variety of programs focused on providing positive options for youth. Our  Youth Peer Court uses restorative practices to provide youth with a learning environment that teaches  responsibility. Our many and varied classes encourage youth to develop skills to manage the challenges in their lives. The  opportunities we provide for youth to engage in community activities help develop leadership skills. Our goal at Youth Options Shasta is to promote a safe and healthy community that encourages youth to learn the skills that will support them as they move into adulthood. We invite you to visit our programs page to see how you can become involved with Youth Options Shasta.
